At the invitation of China-Arab States Cooperation Forum (CASCF) Secretary Office, Vice President of CPAFFC Mr. Jing Dunquan, attended the Fifth Ministerial Conference of CASCF in Tunisia from May 29 to June 4, and made a speech at the conference.
The subject of this Ministerial Conference is “Deepen Strategic Cooperation, Promote Common Development”. Tunisian President Moncef Marzouki attended and addressed the opening ceremony of the conference. Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi, Tunisian Foreign Minister Rafik Abdessalem, Secretary General of the League of Arab States Nabil Elaraby, some ministers and their representatives from other Arab states attended the conference.
During Mr. Jing Dunquan’s speech, he reviewed the three previous sessions of “Chinese-Arab Friendship Conference” and made introduction on the preparation of the fourth conference to be held in China in September this year, and another mechanism activity under the China-Arab Cooperation Forum framework----“Chinese-Arab Cities Forum”.
After the conference, Mr. Jing Dunquan met Mr. Ahmed Abdelrahman Mohamed, Secretary General of Sudan Council for International People’s Friendship, and the League of Arab-Chinese Friendship Associations. They exchanged their opinions on how to encourage the friendship organizations in Arab states to attend the Fourth Chinese-Arab Friendship Conference.
