President Li Xiaolin Meets with State Secretary of Federal Ministry of Finance of Germany

On April 8th, 2013, Mme. Li Xiaolin, the president of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) met with Hartmut Koschyk,the State Secretary of Federal Ministry of Finance of Germany.

President Li Xiaolin briefed Mr.Hartmut Koschyk the social and economic situation in China, as well as the major works of the CPAFFC. She said, the CPAFFC would continue to enhance the people’s friendship and further the mutual understanding, and strive for implementing the CPAFFC’s aim. The international society attached great importance to the role of Asian and Pacific Area, especially the role China was playing. China provided many opportunities of cooperation with foreign countries in its future development layout in fields of urbanization, environmental protection, food security, new energy and etc.. To solve the problems such as missing of social trustworthiness that the Chinese society was confronting with required improving public education and consummating the law, as well as strengthening international cooperation in correlative fields. China and Germany currently maintained good relation, in this case, China wished to receive the support from the German friends in promoting the exchanges and cooperation of local governments. President Li Xiaolin also made a brief introduction on Cooperation Forum of China-Poland Local Governments and 2nd Conference of China-Hungary Friendly Cities which would be held in this late April. 

Mr. Hartmut Koschy highly evaluated the works of the CPAFFC had done and its important role in international cooperation. He expressed that, the new government of China had a clear comprehension on currently issues. There would be great opportunities for deepening the cooperation between China and Germany as well as Europe in important development fields such as environmental protection, food security and sustainable development. Mr. Hartmut Koschy also suggested the both sides to discuss on differences and similarities in the Chinese and Germany values in the future.
