President Li Xiaolin Hosts Welcome Dinner for H.R.H. Princess Hajah Masna of Brunei Darussalam

On May 17th, President Li Xiaolin hosted a welcome dinner for H.R.H Princess Hajah Masna, Ambassador-at-Large of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Brunei Darussalam. Vice President Feng Zuoku, Former Ambassador to Brunei and Vice President of China-Brunei Friendship Association(CBFA) Liu Xinsheng and his spouse, H.E. Ms. Magdalene Teo, Ambassador of Brunei to China were present.

President Li said that Princess Masna was the old friend of Chinese People and deserved the title of "People’s Friendship Ambassador"conferred by CPAFFC. Princess’s many visits to China showed the great importance attached to the Brunei-China friendship. Madame Li expressed that China and Brunei were friendly neighbours, the bilateral relations had developed smoothly since 1991 with deepening exchanges and cooperation in the field of politics, economic and trade, culture and so on. The CBFA and Brunei-China Friendship Association(BCFA) had made positive efforts in this regard. President Li also briefed Princess on CPAFFC and its work.

Princess Masna thanked President Li for hosting the dinner. She sang a high praise of the development of Brunei-China relations and indicated that Brunei-China Strategic Cooperation Relationship established earlier this year meant a new stage of the bilateral relations. Princess hoped the BCFA and CBFA would make continuous contribution to the friendship and cooperation between two countries.

During the dinner, Chinese artists and young actors and actresses from Tianjin Cathay Future Children’s Art Troupe made performances with Chinese ethnic characteristics.
