At the invitation of Mr. Efi Stenzler, Chairman of Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael- Jewish National Fund (KKL), a CPAFFC delegation headed by President Li Xiaolin visited Israel from January 14th to 17th .

During the visit, on behalf of their organizations, President Li and Chairman Efi Stenzler signed the Memo of Cooperation which agrees on carrying out cooperation in fields of urbanization development, desert control, water saving irrigation, environmental protection and etc.President Li was also present at the opening ceremony of Agricultural Technology Expo of Israel on invitation, together with Mr. Shimon Peres, President of Israel, Minister Yair Shamir of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Minister Moshe Kahlon of Ministry of Welfare and Social Services. As the only special guest, President Li planted trees with Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel, to celebrate Tu Bishvat (Tree Planting Day of Israel). Besides, President Li also met with Mr. Isaac Herzog, Chairman of Labor Party and the leader of the Opposition of Israel at Knesset, Mr. Amir Peretz, Minister of Environmental Protection Ministry, and attended the launching ceremony of China-Israel Friendship Forest.

At the meetings with the leaders of political and economic areas in Israel, President Li elaborated China’s independent diplomatic policy, objectively analyzed current international situation and hot issues, reclaimed China’s principled stand on Middle East problem, successively briefed the theory of China Dream raised by the new elected Chinese national leaders, and correlative status of 18th Chinese Communist Party (CPC) National Congress and 3rd Plenary Session of 18th CPC Central Committee.
