On Jan. 5th, 2015, President Li Xiaolin met with the delegation of EU-China Friendship Group of European Parliament headed by Chairman Nirj Deva. President Li extended her warm welcome to the delegation. The two parties had an exchange of views on issues of enhancing Eu-China relations, promoting Eu-China people-to-people friendship, encouraging innovation, developing economy and solution of employment problems. Besides, this year is the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and EU. The two parties discussed on holding the events celebrating the anniversary.

After the meeting, President Li presented the English version of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China as gifts to the delegates, for introducing the political ideas and governance strategy of new Chinese leaders.
Apart from Beijing, the delegation will visit Guangdong and Hainan province.
