Mme. Li Xiaolin, President of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), met in Beijing with Mr. OSAWA HIDETOSHI, Chairman, Board of Panasonic Corporation of China (PCC) and Mr. YOKOO SADAAKI, Chairman of Board designate of PCC on the morning of March 16th, 2017.
President Li spoke highly of the contributions Panasonic had made to pushing forward the friendly relations of the two countries for many years and appreciated the efforts Mr. OSAWA HIDETOSHI had made on promoting the exchanges in economics and trade between China and Japan during his tenure. She hoped that Mr. YOKOO SADAAKI would continue to make new contributions to promoting the cooperation of the two countries.
President Li also said that, this year marks the 45th anniversary of the normalization of the diplomatic relations between China and Japan, next year will mark the 40th anniversary of the conclusion of the treaty of peace and friendship between China and Japan, which are the important opportunities for the bilateral relations. CPAFFC and CJFA would like to work with Panasonic to pass the friendship on, promote the exchange and cooperation through organizing some activities and create a better future.
Mr. OSAWA HIDETOSHI thanked President Li for having a meeting with them and also thanked CPAFFC and CJFA for giving the cause of Panasonic a lot of support. He said that, it will mark the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Panasonic in next year when will also be the 40th anniversary of visiting Panasonic by Mr. Deng Xiaoping. Panasonic would like to take the 40th anniversary of the conclusion of the treaty of peace and friendship as an important chance to hold series of commemorative activities and take its own advantages to continuously promote the cause of Sino-Japanese friendship. Mr. YOKOO SADAAKI expressed that, he is willing to inherit the tradition of the exchanges and cooperation developed by Panasonic together with CPAFFC and China for many years. He would make efforts on Sino-Japanese friendship.
