Mme. Li Xiaolin, President of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) met in Beijing with Japan-China Association delegation led by Mr. NODA TAKESHI, President of Japan-China Association (JCA) and Member of the House of Representatives of Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) on August 24th. Mme. Zhu Dan and Mr. Cheng Haibo, Deputy Director Generals of the Department of Japanese Affairs of CPAFFC, attended the meeting.

President Li Xiaolin extended welcome to Mr. NODA TAKESHI for his visiting China and CPAFFC and praised of the active efforts JCA had made on promoting the friendship between China and Japan under the leadership of President NODA TAKESHI. President Li Xiaolin also said, NODA TAKESHI and his wife are old friends of CPAFFC. They have been insisting in and dedicating to promoting the friendship and the exchanges of the two countries. This morning, Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan met with the delegation, which indicated that the Chinese side paid high attention to the visiting and the work for friendship between peoples. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the signing of the China and Japan Treaty of Peace and Friendship. CPAFFC and CJFA(China and Japan Friendship Association) would like to take this as a new start to further strengthen the friendly cooperative relationship with JCA so as to make more contributions to commonly improving the friendship of the two countries.

NODA TAKESHI thanked President Li for giving support in promoting the friendly exchanges between CPAFFC and JCA, and introduced the new members of JCA. He said, it was honored to receive the warm reception and thoughtful arrangements, and especially to be met by Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan, which was a fruitful visit. On this occasion of the 40th anniversary of the signing of the China and Japan Treaty of Peace and Friendship, new term of leaders were elected. It is willing to deepen the exchanges and cooperation with CPAFFC, and to make unremitting efforts on improving the bilateral relations as before. 

Before meeting with President Li, the delegation visited the exhibition on the history of the CPAFFC and learned more about the development course of the people-to-people diplomacy of China with foreign countries.
