In the morning of July, 4th, Tang Jiaxuan, President of China-Japan Friendship Association, met with the Japanese Kansai Financial delegation headed by Mori Syosuke, President of Kansai Economic Federation, and Sato Sigetaka, Director of OSAKA Conference of Commerce and Industry at Zhongnanhai. Jing Dunquan, vice-president of the CPAFFC attended the meeting.
Tang Jiaxuan welcomed the delegation. He commended the friends from Kansai financial circle for their continuous devotion on China-Japan friendship, which not only had made positive efforts for promoting and deepening the economic and trading cooperation between two countries, but also contributed a lot for the normalization and development of China-Japan relation.
Tang Jiaxuan said, the momentum of China-Japan cooperation in economy and trading was developing well currently. The mutual trade volume recorded high last year, which initiated another investment tide to China in Japan. From June 1st, Renminbi and the Japanese Yen had started direct trading. At the national leaders'' conference of China, Japan and Korea in May, the three countries formally signed the trilateral investment agreement, and reached a consensus on initiating the trilateral free trading zone in 2012. These new measures would give more space and vitality to China-Japan economic and trading cooperation. Tang Jiaxuan hoped the Kansai financial circle seize the opportunity to deepen the exchanges and cooperation with China.
Tang Jiaxuan also said, this year was 40th anniversary of normalization of China-Japan diplomatic relation, and the “The Chinese and Japanese People''s Exchange and Friendship Year”. The people of insight from all circles of two countries should be united to deepen exchanges and cooperation in economic, trading and humane fields, for successfully holding activities of “The Chinese and Japanese People''s Exchange and Friendship Year” .Both sides should eliminate interference to guarantee healthy and stable development of China-Japan relation, and truly realize the people’s exchange which cater to grass-roots level and ordinary people.
Mori Syosuke introduced the major achievements of the delegation’s visit and said, in the period of Twelfth Five Year Plan, recycling economy, new energy, green and low-carbon life would become the important fields of the Chinese economic development. In Kansai regions, there were numerous leading enterprises which had advanced technology and ideas in such fields. He wished to further promote the pragmatic exchange and cooperation between both sides, as well as richen the connotation of Sino-Japanese Strategic Reciprocal relations.
