The Delegation Visited Fukuoka Municipal Government
At the invitation of The Japan-China Society INC. and Korea-China Friendship Association of Culture & Economy, the delegation of Disabled Pottery Artists headed by Li Jianping, the vice-president of the CPAFFC, visited Japan and Republic of Korea during July 15th to July 25th.
During the visit, the delegation paid an official call on Fukuoka Municipal Government and Yoon Young Seok, Congressman of Repunlic of Korea, to deliver the friendly messages from the CPAFFC. When the delegation met with Kazuki Yamazaki, the deputy mayor of Fukuoka, vice-president Li Jianping said, this year was the 40th anniversary of normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan, both countries were keeping great momentum of development in fields of economic and trading, cultural and personnel exchanges. As the organization which engaged in non-governmental diplomatic works, the CPAFFC would like to take this momentum as an opportunity to deepen friendly cooperation in culture and art with the relevant Japanese circles.

The delegation visited Tokyo National Museum in Japan, CeraMix Creativity Center Icheon in Republic of Korea, and especially made friendly exchanges with Kakiemon, Takatoriyaki, the famous Japanese pottery families, and Korean Simcheonyo Pottery Workshop Icheon. Through the exchanges, the delegation thoroughly learned about the development status and procedures of the Japanese and Korean ceramic industry, and made in-depth exchanges with the above sectors in design of artistic pottery, daily used ceramic industry and future prospects of mutual cooperation.

The delegation also made a special trip to Tanpopo-no-ye, the famous Japanese volunteering organization for disabled persons, and visited the pottery, painting, weaving studio and exhibition of works there. The delegation watched the pottery making, painting classes held for the local disabled persons, and made exchanges with the volunteers about daily cares, artistry inspiring, social participation of disabled person, and daily operation of the organization.
