On February 14th, President Li Xiaolin met with and held a banquet for Jaroslav Tvrdik, Chairman of the Supervision Committee of the Czech-China Chamber of Collaboration and Chinese Affairs Specialist of the Czech government.

President Li described China’s new ideas and new measures on social and economic development after the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the work of the Chinese People''s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) for the guests. She hoped the two associations would develop the relationship between China and Czech to a new level through jointly holding the series  celebrating activities with the opportunity of the 65th anniversary of establishment of China-Czech diplomatic relations.

Jaroslav Tvrdik expessed that strengthening the cooperation with China was on the table of the first Cabinet meeting after the new government has just established. This year is the 65th anniversary of the establishment of China-Czech diplomatic relations. It happened that the meeting of the leaders of China and Middle Eastern Europe will hold in Prague, the two countries will hold influential activities in fields of politics, economy, culture, hygiene and etc. Czech-China Chamber of Collaboration hoped to complete the celebrating activities successfully together with CPAFFC.

Jaroslav Tvrdik invited President Li Xiaolin to visit Czech and attend Czech-China Investment Forum in year 2014.

The both sides also had an in-depth discussion on the issues of series cooperation in this year. Vice President Li Jianping, and Director-General Song Jingwu of Department of European and Asian Affairs attended the meeting.
