The press conference & launch ceremony of the official website of "The 4th China-Africa Friendship Award " was held on October 19th.This award was jointly organized by the Chinese African People’s Friendship Association(CAPFA) and China Radio International(CRI), Over 100 guests from both China and Africa attended the ceremony, including Mr.Feng Zuoku, Vice President of CAPFA, Mr. Ma Weigong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of CRI and the representatives from African Diplomatic Corps.

The guiding units of this Award are the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the African Diplomatic Corps. Since 2006, the Award has been completed for 3 circles.This Award aims to publicize Sino-African friendship in the new era, to affirm the contributions that China has made to the development of Africa and to honor those individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the cause of Sino-African friendship, and to hold them up as role models.

After the extensive nomination and assessment of the Expert Council, 20 candidates have been selected and their materials have been posted on the official website. All of the net-users can vote for 10 candidates on the website, the address of the official websit is as following:

Voting on official website will last for 3 weeks and it will close on November 9th . The organizers of the Award will hold a grand ceremony to honor the 10 final winners in December.
