The Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and The Embassy to China of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg jointly held the reception celebrating 40th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between China and Luxembourg. Chen Changzhi, the vice-chairman of Standing Committee of National People’s Congress and His Highness Prince Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg were present and delivered speeches. More than 200 people from China and Luxembourg attended the reception.
Vice Chairman Chen Changzhi said in his speech, since the diplomatic relations between China and Luxembourg established 40 years ago, the both sides had been respecting each other and treating each other equally, so that the relations between the two countries had achieved tremendous development. Luxembourg was always upholding One-China policy. We highly praised Luxembourg for understanding and supporting the Chinese stand on issues related to the territory and sovereignty of China. China paid great attention on developing the relations with Luxembourg. We’d like to cooperate with Luxembourg and take 40th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations of the two countries as an opportunity, to further deepen the political mutual trust, keep high-level and all-level contacts, strive for enhancing the bilateral trading and mutual investing level, closer the cultural exchange of humanity, energize the bilateral relations and promote China-Luxembourg relation to obtain further development continuously.
Chen Changzhi and His Highness Guillaume unveiled the commemorative envelop for 40th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between China and Luxembourg. Chen Changzhi also presented His Highness Guillaume the commemorative album.
Song Tao, the Chinese Vice Foreign Minister, Li Jianping, the vice president of the CPAFFC, Princess Stephanie, the Wife of the Hereditary Grand-Duke, Etienne Schneider, the Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade of Luxembourg, all the members of the economic and trading delegation visiting China, Krieger Carlo, the Ambassador to China of Luxembourg attended the above events.
