Chinese President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to Russia on July 4th. During the visiting, the 11th Plenary Conference of China-Russia Friendship Committee for Peace and Development (CRFCPD) was held in Moscow. Mr. Dai Bingguo, Chinese Chairman of CRFCPD, Mrs. Deng Rong, Chinese Vice Chairperson of CRFCPD, Mr. Titov, Russian Chairman of CRFCPD, and two Presidents of both side Councils as well as representatives, attended the conference. CPAFFC President Li Xiaolin attended the conference and made a speech as Chairperson of Think Tank Council.

President Li said, it is a great significance to further strengthen the people-to-people friendly relationship of the two countries under the background of the current thriving China-Russia relationship. President Li made suggestions that both countries should continue enhancing the two governments’ attention to the people-to-people friendly work between China and Russia, and strengthening the strategic leadership; carrying forward the friendly spirit of two countries and endowing it with the meaning of new era; cultivating the successors of Sino-Russian friendship by strengthening the exchange of youth; taking advantage of the platform of friendly cities to deepen the cooperation of local governments, and other advice, which aroused strong sympathetic response from participants.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of CRFCPD, which are paid high attention by the two heads of states and governments.
