Australia-China Desert Adventure Kick-Off Ceremony Held
At 15:00, Aug.,24th, the Kick-Off Ceremony for the Chinese members of environmental protection expedition of Australia-China Desert Adventure (the Australian Phase) was held in Sun Yat-sen’s Memorial Hall, Guangzhou. Liao Hui, the vice chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and the president of China-Oceania Friendship Association, Li Xiaolin, the preisdent of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), Zhao Yufang, the deputy governor of Guangdong Province, Cao Jianliao, the deputy mayor of Guangzhou City, Jian Wenhao, the vice chairman of Guangzhou Committee of CPPCC, Jill Collins, the consul-general of the Consulate General of Australia in Guangzhou and Zhou Zerong, the president of Association of Australia-China Friendship and Exchange (AACFE) were present. Australia-China Desert Adventure is co-sponsored by the CPAFFC and AACFE, which is aiming for deepening the bilateral relation and promoting the exchange and cooperation in culture, tourism, environmental protection, by taking the 40th anniversary of establishment of China-Australia diplomatic relations as a favorable opportunity. The expeditions will explore through the inland deserts in Australia and Kumukuli Desert in Xinjiang, China. President Li Xiaolin Addressing the Ceremony In her speech, President Li Xiaolin said, since China and Australia established diplomatic relation 40 years ago, the bilateral relation had developed steadily and the exchange of high-level visits had taken place frequently; the bilateral economy and trading between China and Australia was continuously developing and keeping a good momentum. She wished this activity of desert adventure would lift the cultural and economic exchanges between China and Australia to a new stage. At the same time, she wished this activity would provide a platform of exchanges and cooperation for the human’s in-depth understanding on global desertification and protecting our homeland——the earth. Deputy Governor Zhao Yufang, Deputy Mayor Cao Jianliao, Consul-General Jill Collins and President Zhou Zerong also stepped onto the stage, to bolster the departure of the explorers by making speech ,toasting and conferring flags. After the kick-off ceremony, the warriors took the flight on that night, to go to Sydney and formally start their 15 days’s desert adventure.

The 7th Conference on China-ASEAN People-to-People Friendship Organization held in Hanoi, Vietnam
Presentatives of Participated Countries The 7th Conference on China-ASEAN People-to-People Friendship Organization hosted by Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Vietnam-China Friendship Association was held in Hanoi, Vietnam from 16-17, August, 2012 with the theme of "Solidarity, Friendship, Cooperation and Development". The delegation of the China-ASEAN Association headed by its president Madame Gu Xiulian and the delegations of ASEAN friendship organizations attended the Conference. The Vice President of Vietnam Assembly Met with the Delegation More than 200 representatives from China and ASEAN attended the Friendship Exchanges Seminar, Smart City Exhibition, China-ASEAN Labour and Employment Forum, China-ASEAN Corporation Culture Forum and the China-ASEAN Youth Dancing Performance during the Conference. All the organizations signed the "2012-2013 Cooperation Plan" and agreed that the 8th Conference will be hosted by the Association for Philippines-China Understanding in Manila,the Philippines in November 2013. Profile on Beijing Concert of PMF Music Festival
In the evening of Aug.,4th, the Beijing Concert of Pacific Music Festival (PMF) Orchestra, which co-sponsored by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), China-Japan Friendship (CJFA) Association and Organizing Committee of Pacific Music Festival, was held in Century Theater, Beijing. Liu Deyou, the former vice minister of Ministry of Culture of China, Jing Dunquan, the vice-president of the CPAFFC and CJFA, Niwa Uichiro, the Japanese Ambassador in China and other representatives from all circles of China and Japan were present. Beijing Concert of PMF  Beijing Concert  In the concert, under the world famous conductor, Fabio Luisi’s conducting, the PMF Orchestra, which organized by 77 young musicians from more the 20 countries and regions, performed Petrouchka (version 1947)by Stravinsky and Symphony No. 6 in B minor, Op. 74, “Pathetique” by Tchaikovsky. Their performance gave the audience a musical feast. By blending young people’s vigor and vitality into these classic works, Fabio Luisi’s conducting and young musicians’magnificent performance made the orchestra full of appeal which was like fresh air in the theater. All the audience were dwelling in such beautiful melody and moved by this sound of heaven. When the 2 hours’concert was going to finish, the thunderous applause and cheering prolonged in the theater. In the warm and continuous applause, Fabio Luisi gave encores from time to time, the atmosphere of the concert was proceeded to the climax. The audience seemed not enjoy enough and didn’t want to leave for a long time. Many of them could not hide their enjoyment and excitement to the concert, by praising the magnificent music the young musicians had performed. Reception for Beijing Concert of PMF  Vice-President Jing Dunquan of CPAFFC Addressing the Reception In the reception after the concert, Vice-President Jing Dunquan addressed to congratulate the success of Beijing Concert of PMF. He said, this year was the 40th anniversary of the normalization of China-Japan diplomatic relations and  Friendly Exchange Year of the Chinese and Japanese People. In this important year, the success of the PMF Orchestra’s first overseas performance in China would not only further strengthen the cultural exchange between China and Japan, China and the world, but also deepen the friendship of the people around the world. The success of Beijing Concert interpreted Music Without Borders again. The young musicians with different nationalities, ethnic groups, education background, gathered in Beijing, and appealed their technical performing skill and good will for world peace to China and the world, by using their instruments and beautiful melody. He wished everyone present would take this concert as an opportunity, to experience a vivid, real, and vigorous China, thus become a participant of promoting the exchange and cooperation of China and the world.  Ueda Fumio, Mayor of Sapporo, Addressing the Reception Ueda Fumio, Mayor of Sapporo City, appreciated the CPAFFC and CJFA for their great efforts on successfully holding the Beijing Concert. He believed this concert would leave unforgettable and happy memories for every young musician. Mnister Pleniptentiary Hidehisa Horinouchi Addressing Hidehisa Horinouchi, the minister plenipotentiary of the Japanese Embassy in China, congratulated the success of Beijing Concert of PMF Orchestra in his speech. He deemed the great performance of young musicians had added a touch of bright colors for Friendly Exchange Year of the Chinese and Japanese People. He hoped the peoples between the two countries to further the mutual understanding and develop the relations of the two countries continuously through concerts and other brilliant exchanging activities. Fabio Luisi Making Comment In Fabio Luisi’s comment, he said, the success of tonight’s concert was the result of every musician’s joint efforts. This was an unforgettable night and also a important moment of his life. He wished everyone took this concert as a new start, to keep striving towards higher sphere of music. Many members of PMF Orchestra said, it was a great pleasure to present what they learned in China where they longed for. During their visit in Beijing, they also visited to the great wall, and witnessed the development of this metropolis which impressed and convulsed them. Site of the Reception When the reception was going to finish, every one would go back to their own country next morning. The young musicians felt all sorts of feeling in their hearts. They parted each other reluctantly by embracing, blessing and weeping each others’s tears. It is so called culture could be sufficient by exchanging; hearts could be communicated by exchanging; friendship could be deeper by exchanging.   Don’t think that you have not any friends, you are well known in the world. The sound of friendship jointly performed by youths from countries in the world will resonant forever in the blue sky of Beijing’s summer night. Chinese College Students Performing Beijing Welcomes You  Signature Wall About PMF Pacific Music Festival (also known as Sapporo Music Festival), short as PMF, was initiated by Leonard Bernstein, the world famous conductor, composer, educator, in 1990, his late years, aiming for cultivating Asian and Pacific young music talents. From 1990, every July, PMF will be held in Sapporo, Japan. The PMF is passing Bernstein’s spirit of loving music, human and peace.

2012 Tianjin International Children‘s Culture & Art Festival Held in Tianjin
2012 Tianjin International Children’s Culture & Art Festival, co-sponsored by the CPAFFC, China International Culture Association, China Soong Ching Ling Foundation and the Tianjin Municipal People’s Government, was held in Tianjin from July 29 to August 1. Opening Ceremony of International Children’s Joy Town Forty art groups from 36 countries and regions and 44 art troupes from 22 Chinese provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, totaling 2000 people, took part in the Festival themed “Peace, Friendship and Future”. Activities during the Festival included the founding ceremony of China National Youth Palace Art Troupe, the opening ceremony of International Children’s Joy City, the unveiling ceremony of Peace Wall, the 6th International Children’s Painting Exhibition, art performances, and the International Children’s Art Development Forum. The Delegation of Disabled Pottery Artists Headed by Vice-President Li Jianping Visited Japan and Republic of Korea
The Delegation Visited Fukuoka Municipal Government At the invitation of The Japan-China Society INC. and Korea-China Friendship Association of Culture & Economy, the delegation of Disabled Pottery Artists headed by Li Jianping, the vice-president of the CPAFFC, visited Japan and Republic of Korea during July 15th to July 25th. During the visit, the delegation paid an official call on Fukuoka Municipal Government and Yoon Young Seok, Congressman of Repunlic of Korea, to deliver the friendly messages from the CPAFFC. When the delegation met with Kazuki Yamazaki, the deputy mayor of Fukuoka, vice-president Li Jianping said, this year was the 40th anniversary of normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan, both countries were keeping great momentum of development in fields of economic and trading, cultural and personnel exchanges. As the organization  which engaged in non-governmental diplomatic works, the CPAFFC would like to take this momentum as an opportunity to deepen friendly cooperation in culture and art with the relevant Japanese circles.  Vice-President Li Jianping Meeting with Mayor Kazuku Yamazaki The delegation visited Tokyo National Museum in Japan, CeraMix Creativity Center Icheon in Republic of Korea, and especially made friendly exchanges with Kakiemon, Takatoriyaki, the famous Japanese pottery families, and Korean Simcheonyo Pottery Workshop Icheon. Through the exchanges, the delegation thoroughly learned about the development status and procedures of the Japanese and Korean ceramic industry, and made in-depth exchanges with the above sectors in design of artistic pottery, daily used ceramic industry and future prospects of mutual cooperation. Tang Jiaxuan Met and Held Banquet For NAKAIMA HIROKAZU, the Governor of Okinawa
In the evening of July 24th, Tang Jiaxuan, the president of China-Japan Friendship Association, met with and gave a banquet to Nakaima Hirokazu, the governor of Okinawa, at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse. Tang Jiaxuan welcomed Nakaima and his delegation. He congratulated them on the establishment of Okinawa Industry Promotion Public Corporation Beijing Representative Office. He said, this year was the 40th anniversary of the normalization of China-Japan diplomatic relations and  Friendly Exchange Year of the Chinese and Japanese People. In the last 40 years, the relation between the two countries had achieved unprecedented development in wide ranging circles. At the present, China-Japan relation was at the crucial period of inheriting the past and moving forward to the future, which would be full of challenges. The both countries should manage to successfully hold the exchange activities of the Friendly Exchange Year of the Chinese and Japanese People, to deepen the friendship between the peoples. Okinawa, as the nearest neighboring Japanese province to China, shared the similar culture and history with China, and had sufficient tourism resources. He wished Okinawa and related Chinese provinces and cities make greater development in fields of contacts of local governments, tourism, economic and trading cooperation. Yingli Cup China-Germany Friendly Football Match Held
Vice-President Feng Zuoku Gave Prize to Bayern Munich In the evening of July 24, Yingli Cup China-Germany Friendly Football Match was held in Beijing Workers Stadium. Two teams of the match were Beijing Guo’an and visit team Bayern Munich. The CPAFFC, as the honorary sponsor, participated in overall process of the preparation of the match, and brought it in series activities for celebrating 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Germany. The Match Bayern Munich is one of the most famous football teams in Germany which has won 22 champions of Bundes Liga and 4 champions of the European Champions League. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, the president of Bayern Munich Club and the former German football star, said before the match, this visit in China was very important to Bayern Munich; the club would send all the first team and take the match seriously, in order not to disappoint the fans. Mario Gomez, Arjen Rubben, Franck Ribery, Tomas Muller and other super stars would visit China with the team and appear at the match. This match attracted not only vast number of Chinese football fans, but also a lot of German fans in China, including the form German Chancellor, Gerhard Schroder, who was visiting in Beijing. Dr. Michael Schaefer, the German Ambassador in China made a special trip from Shanghai to Beijing, to watch the match. Visit by the R.O.Korea-China Young Friendship Ambassadors Delegation to China in 2012
At the invitation of CPAFFC, the R.O.Korea-China Young Friendship Ambassadors Delegation, led by H.E.Mr.Shin Jungseung, Former Ambassador of R.O.Korea to China, paid a visit to China from July 9th to 17th , 2012. The 120-people delegation was composed by Korean students from nearly 50 universities or middle schools. The visit was full of success and furit,as the delegation not only went to Beijing, Hebei and Henan province for a tour of China’s history and culture, but made close contacts and communications with the Chinese young people. He stressed that as this year marked the 20th Anniversary of the China-R.O.Korea diplomatic relations as well as the Year of China-R.O.Korea Friendly Exchanges, this visit was of importance for its meaning. Mr. Zhang also quoted that the relation of two countries is based on the affections of their two peoples. The young people is the hope and future of the country, shouldering the great responsibility to further developing the China-R.O.Korea relations. Christian Embassy of Canada Visited China
Invited by CPAFFC, a 5-member delegation of Christian Embassy of Canada, led by Mr. Harold Albrechta, Member of Parliament of House of Commons, visited China from July 6th to 11th. The delegation visited Beijing and Tianjin, and met with local government leaders and leaders of relevant government divisions. During their stay in Beijing, the delegation met with Mr.Cai Wei, Counsellor of American and Oceanian Department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Song Wenyan, Deputy Director General of International Department of All-China Women''s Federation and Mr. Ji Ping, Deputy Secretary General of China Foundation of Peace and Development, and discussed on topics related to China-Canada bilateral relations, development of women''s cause and potential future cooperation. In Tianjin, Mr.Li Wenxi, Vice Mayor met with and hosted a luncheon for the delegation. Since it was his first time visiting China, Mr. Harold Albrechta said that he was deeply impressed by this trip. The rich schedule and meetings with different government divisions enhanced his understanding on Chinese society and culture. Moreover, taking the express railway from Beijing to Tianjin gave him a great opportunity to witness for himself the rapid development of Chinese high-speed railway system. He said he will pass on what he has seen and learned in China to his fellow parliament members.
