President Li Xiaolin Meets with Governor Jerry Brown
President Li Xiaolin who was currently visiting the United States paid a visit with Mr. Jerry Brown Governor of the State of California at State Capitol building, Sacramento on Feb.11th,2015. President Li expressed her hearty congratulations on Mr. Brown’s successful reelection as the Governor of California, and her wish that Governor Brown would continue to play a positive role in promoting the exchange and cooperation between California and her sister provinces in China, and enhance friendship between the Californians and the Chinese. Governor Brown warmly welcomed President Li’s visit to California. Since California is a major American state to engage with China, he was ready to advance his state’s the mutually beneficial cooperation with China in fields of high-tech innovation, clean energy, education and so on. Governor Brown also said that he could understand the reasons causing the postponement of the 3rd US - China Governor’s Forum last year, and he was willing to work with CPAFFC to ensure that this forum take place successfully in the United States this year. Ambassador Luo Linquan Consul General of Chinese Cousulate General to San Fransisco and Zhang Heqiang Director General of Department of American and Oceanic Affairs were also present at the meeting.

President Li Xiaolin Visits Vietnam
At the invitation of Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations(VUFO), President Li Xiaolin led a 5-member CPAFFC delegation to visit Vietnam from January 14th to 17th,2015. President Li paid a courtesy call to President Truong Tan Sang of Vietnam, met Mr.Nguyen Thien Nhan, Chairman of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front and Mr.Pham Binh Minh, Vice Premier and Foreign Minister of Vietnam respectively. President Li also had a work meeting with Chairman Vu Xuan Hong of VUFO and attended the celebration activities marking the 65th Anniversary of China-Vietnam Diplomatic Ties hosted by Chinese Embassy in Vietnam and VUFO respectively. President Li paid a field visit to the construction site of the Vietnam-China Friendship Palace which was inspected and managed by VUFO. She also talked with Vietnamese students who were learning Chinese in Hanoi University and witnessed the signing ceremony of China-Vietnam Education Exchange Fund which was raised by Mr.Lam Kin Chung,a CPAFFC specially-invited council member. Mr.Hong Xiaoyong, Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hoang Van, Vice Chairman of VUFO, accompanied the delegation for the major events.

President Li Xiaolin Meets with Ambassador of Vietnam
Before her visit to Vietnam, CPAFFC President Li Xiaolin met with H.E. Mr. Nguyen Van Tho, Ambassador of Vietnam to China, on 9 January 2015.  President Li said that she is glad to visit Vietnam on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam. She hoped for more achievements of the development of bilateral relations under the joint efforts of the two sides.  Ambassador Nguyen wished success of President Li’s visit to Vietnam and said that the Embassy of Vietnam in Beijing will continue its close cooperation with CPAFFC for deepening Vietnam-China traditional friendship.

President Li Xiaolin Meets with Delegation of EU-China Friendship Group of European Parliament
On Jan. 5th, 2015, President Li Xiaolin met with the delegation of EU-China Friendship Group of European Parliament headed by Chairman Nirj Deva. President Li extended her warm welcome to the delegation. The two parties had an exchange of views on issues of enhancing Eu-China relations, promoting Eu-China people-to-people friendship, encouraging innovation, developing economy and solution of employment problems. Besides, this year is the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and EU. The two parties discussed on holding the events celebrating the anniversary. After the meeting, President Li presented the English version of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China as gifts to the delegates, for introducing the political ideas and governance strategy of new Chinese leaders. Apart from Beijing, the delegation will visit Guangdong and Hainan province.

President Li Xiaolin Attends Activity in Hubei Marking 35th Anniversary of China-US Diplomatic Relations
On the afternoon of December 15, activity marking the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the United States was held in Wuhan, Hubei Province. Over 70 people, including President Li Xiaolin, Governor Wang Guosheng of Hubei Province, Mr. Melvin Gilroy, President of the Found of Woodcock Legacy, Mr. Joseph Zadrozny, Consul General of U.S. in Wuhan, attended the event. Madam Li said in her remarks that Ping Pong Diplomacy not only drew peoples from both countries closer, but also ushered in a new chapter of improvement and development of China-US relations. Now China and the U.S. are committed to building a new type of major country relations. People-to-people diplomacy will exert great influence on the exchange and cooperation of the two sides. It is hoped that the establishment of the US-China People-to-people Association of Table Tennis will serve as an important bridge to deepen people-people exchanges and contribute to the healthy development of China-US relations. Governor Wang Guosheng said that thanks to the continuous improvement and development of China-US relations, Hubei and the U.S. have deepened their exchanges in such fields as economy and trade, science and technology, education and culture. Hubei province is becoming an important gateway of central China to the United States. It is hoped that the US-China People-to-people Association of Table Tennis could make new contribution to the healthy and stable development of China-US relations, and add new vitality to the friendship between the two peoples. The US-China People-to-people Association of Table Tennis is a non-profit and non-governmental organization which is based in San Francisco. The Foundation of Woodcock Legacy is named after the first US Ambassador to China Leonard Woodcock, whose mission is to promote the cultural, educational and scientific exchanges between China and the U.S. On the morning of December 16, some participants of this event paid a visit to the Li Xian’nian Memorial Garden in Hong’an County, Hubei Province.

President Li Xiaolin Meets with Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair
On December 11, President Li Xiaolin met with former British Prime Minister Tony Blair in the CPAFFC. President Li Xiaolin introduced the recent major work of the CPAFFC, particularly cooperations between Chinese and foreign local governments, friendship cities, cultural exchanges, the China Friendship Foundation for Peace and Development, as well as work with former US political dignitaries, underlining that exchanges in the fields of local governments and culture should be further developed. Blair introduced the cultural and charity work he himself had been devoted to, spoke highly of the achievements of China’s development, praised the rule of law concept, fully recognized the importance of people-to-people friendship and accomplishments of the CPAFFC, and agreed to promote exchanges and cooperations between China and the UK in various fields together with the CPAFFC. Both sides also exchanged views on topics including China’s development as well as its relations with the world. Mr. Li Jianping, Vice President of the CPAFFC, and Mr. Song Jingwu, Director-General of the European and Asian Affairs Department of the CPAFFC, were present during the meeting.

President Li Xiaolin Visits Andorra
At the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Andorra, Gilbert Saboya Sunyé, and the President of the Andorra-China Relationship Promotion Association, the Director General of Emission Service of Andorra, Jordi Puigdemasa, the 5 people delegation led by the President of the CPAFFC, Ms.Li Xiaolin, paid a visit to Andorra from 3rd to 5th of December of 2014, the delegation was received by the Andorra part with high-standarded and warm hospitality.     Head of the Government of Andorra meeting with President Li Xiaolin During the visit, the Head of the Government of Andorra, Mr. Antoni Martí Petit, the President of the Parliament of Andorra , Vicen Mateu Zamora, met with our delegation. With the company of Mr. Mateu, the delegation visited the Parliament of Andorra. President Li Xiaolin Meets Eugenio Rojas, Speaker of Bolivian Senate
President Li Xiaolin met with H.E. Mr. Eugenio Rojas, the speaker of Bolivian Senate and his delegation in Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) on 25, Nov, 2014. President Li Xiaolin introduced the history, work of CPAFFC and the status of China- Bolivia friendship cities. She warmly welcomed Speaker Rojas and his delegation for visiting China and attending the 2014 China International Friendship Cities Conference. She hoped that the relationship between China and Bolivia would develop further with the help of Speaker Rojas and other Bolivian friendly-to-China personages, especially in broadening the fields of cooperation and strengthening the exchanges in culture and tourism. Speaker Rojas appreciated for CPAFFC’s reception. He expressed his great interest in strengthening the establishment of China-Bolivia friendship cities and promised to help to strengthen the friendly exchanges with China in various circles. Bolivia located at the center of the South America. Since its establishment of the diplomatic relations with China, the political mutual trust between the both sides has been continuously deepened and the high-level is keeping close contact. In 2013, Evo Morales, the president of Bolivia, paid a state visit to China. The leaders of the both counties had an in-depth exchange of views and reached important consensus on further developing bilateral relations. In 2012, at the invitation of CPAFFC, Gabriela Montano Viana, the former speaker of Bolivian Senate visited China and met with Wu Bangguo, Chairman of Standing Committee of NPC. Speaker Rojas worked in public education system before, and was elected as the mayor of Achocalla city in 2005. As the candidate of the party of Movement for Socialism, he was elected as senator in 2010 and then as the speaker of senate in January, 2014.

President Li Xiaolin Meets President Truong Tan Sang of Vietnam
On November 9th, President Li Xiaolin, with Mr.Wang Jinshan, President of China-Vietnam Friendship Association(CVFA) and former Party Secretary of Anhui province made a courtesy call to H.E.Mr.Truong Tan Sang, President of Vietnam who will attend the APEC meeting in Beijing. President Li Xiaolin having a cordial meeting with President Truong Tan Sang President Li welcomed President Truong Tan Sang to attend the 22nd APEC Economic Leaders Meeting in Beijing. She said that it was a great pleasure to be the first group of Chinese guests to meet President Truong, which showed the great importance President attached to the People-to-People friendship between the two countries. President Xi Jinping paid high attention to the China’s foreign relations with neighboring countries and raised the principle of “Amity, Sincerity, Mutual-benefit and Inclusiveness”. The CPAFFC and CVFA will implement the principle and deepen the China-Vietnam traditional friendship. As next year marks the 65th Anniversary of the China-Vietnam Diplomatic Ties, CPAFFC and CVFA are willing to cooperate with the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations(VUFO) and Vietnam China Friendship Association to well prepare and conduct the related celebrations, so as to further the understanding and friendship between our two countries. CPAFFC President Li Xiaolin, CVFA President Wang Jinshan and President Truong Tan Sang Truong Tan Sang said that it gave him pleasure to meet the new and old Chinese friends and the two countries will celebrate the 65th Anniversary of Diplomatic relations next year. Under the current situation, the CPAFFC, CVFA as well as VUFO shouldered the great responsibility. He expected the friendship associations from two countries to take the 65th anniversary of bilateral relations to plan more activities for friendship to push forward the development of bilateral ties. President Wang Jinshan recalled the meeting with President Truong Tan Sang in 2010 when he visited Vietnam for the China-Vietnam People-to-People Friendship Gala. He expressed that the CVFA will make continuous efforts to promote the China-Vietnam friendship. President Wang specially read the poems written by President Chí Minh in 1955 when he was in rehabilitation at Mount Huangshan of Anhui province. CPAFFC Vice President Feng Zuoku, CVFA Vice President Qi Jianguo, Mr. Chen Zhishu, Son of General Chen Geng and member of CPPCC was present during the meeting.
