The time and aim of setting up the prize
In 1993, CPAFFC set up the title of China-Japan Friendship Ambassador in the name of the China-Japan Friendship Association with the purpose of commending personages who worked for and made outstanding contributions to the cause of China-Japan friendship for a long time.
Various sectors of the Japanese society pay great attention to this prize. It has made great influence to the non-governmental organizations of Japan, increased mutual understanding and friendly sentiments between two peoples, and strengthened the development of friendly relationship between two countries.
